Is this program the right one for you and your family?

While we do indeed foster good sportsmanship... this is a Competitive Cheer Program. Attending all practices, games and competitions is expected as well as participating in fundraising and maintaining good academic standing. The 2025-26 season will begin July 15 and potentially run through February dependent upon competitions a team participates in.

Due to the nature of competitive cheer much of practice time is spent constructing and practicing the competition routine. Full participation in the program as outlined in the Carthage Comets Cheer Handbook is essential for safety and success for all.

Registration fee $135 + online fee includes game day jersey only. Uniforms are property of the organization. All other equipment will be an additional cost. Required are game day shorts and bow, competition bow, cover up jacket and pants, pink socks, cheer shoes) Optional purchases: backpack and sweat suit. At practices athletes are to wear comet colors and must be in appropriate attire. New athletes should expect costs of a minimum $278 plus shoes. Returning athlete $186 plus shoes. Registration fee is included with this price. There is likely to be travel expenses for families in attendance at games and competitions.

Divisions may change based on registrations. Skill levels are determined based on team ability once formed by ages. Age as of August 31, 2025.
